Submission Criteria
Eligible works must be completed no earlier than 1 January 2025.
Maximum duration: 8 minutes.
For screening purposes, submitted works should be provided without end credits (credit roll). Initial submissions may include full versions.
All submitting parties (filmmakers, producers, artists, and/or rights holders) confirm that they hold all necessary rights, licenses, and authorisations for the submitted work. The festival may request proof of rights at any stage of the selection process.
By submitting, entrants grant the Porto International Music Video Festival (PIMVF) a non-exclusive right to screen, reproduce excerpts of, and use submitted works for curatorial, promotional, and archival purposes related to the festival.

Selection & Conditions
Submission does not constitute or guarantee selection.
The Festival retains full curatorial discretion over programming, selection, and presentation of works.
All submission fees are strictly non-refundable, including in cases of non-selection.
The Festival reserves the right to modify programme structure, categories, or event format without prior notice.

Terms & Conditions
By submitting, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:
You are duly authorised to submit the work on behalf of all rights holders. To the best of your knowledge, the submitted material does not infringe any copyright, trademark, moral right, or other applicable legal rights of any third party.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Porto International Music Video Festival, its organisers, partners, affiliates, and representatives against any claims, liabilities, damages, or losses arising from the submission or exhibition of the work.

Force Majeure
The Festival shall not be held liable for any failure, postponement, or alteration of the event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: pandemics, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, governmental restrictions, labour disputes, or other force majeure events.
In such cases, the Festival shall not be obligated to provide refunds.

General Information
A confirmation of receipt will be issued via email upon successful submission.

Selection & Notifications
Official selections and nominations may be announced on a rolling basis from the opening of submissions until approximately two weeks following the final deadline (24 May 2026).
All communications regarding selection status will be issued via email and/or official Festival channels.
Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their email provider does not filter Festival correspondence.

If Selected
Selected participants may be requested to provide additional promotional materials, including but not limited to:

  • Official artist, director, and production credits

  • Social media links and press assets

  • Additional promotional information required for Festival communication and press coverage

These materials may be used for editorial, promotional, and communication purposes across Festival platforms and media partners.

Jury
Awards are determined by an international jury of distinguished professionals from the fields of film, music, visual arts, and contemporary media.
The jury’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
